Super Nintendo gives you 4 free games. Sega gives you no free games. Which do you choose?
How many people played Plok as a kid? It definitely was an underrated game, but it was one of my favorites for my SNES.
If you have never played it, I highly recommend that you try it out.
For Christmas in 1994, I received a Super Nintendo bundled with Donkey Kong Country from Santa Claus (remember him?). It quickly became my favorite game and I was instantly addicted, as was everybody else in my family.
I remember waking up one nite shortly after the new year, to the music of Jungle Hijinks (the first level). I emerged from my room to find both of my parents sitting in the living room, taking turns playing the game.
To this day it is in my top 3 favorite games. Every now and again I’ll pop it in for a quick game, still amazed by how beautiful the music sounds and how well the graphics have held up.
I remember seeing this at the toy store when I was a little kid and wanting it only because the box was so big. My parents ended up buying it for me and it quickly became one of my favorite games.
I ended up selling it along with my Super Nintendo when I was about 8, so I could take my parents out to dinner. I remember getting about $30.00 for the console, the controllers and 20 or so games.
I later regretted selling all of my Super Nintendo stuff, so in 2004 I tried to re-buy nearly everything that I used to own. This included a used copy of Earthbound that I bought at EB Games for $60.00.
That copy has since mysteriously disappeared. :(
